A former Nigerian footballer, Philip Osondu Mast, has passed away in a Belgian hospital after a “brief illness” on Friday, December 13.

Jameela News gathered that Osondu went to the hospital by himself from work on Thursday, after feeling a bit distressed.
The deceased footballer was the recipient of the World Cup Golden Ball at the 1987 under-16 tournament in Canada.
