Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has confirmed that he tested positive for the deadly Coronavirus after feeling unwell.
Jameela News reports that Arteta’s Coronavirus status was disclosed days after 25-year-old Juventus defender Daniele Rugani also tested positive to the deadly virus on Tuesday.
The English club confirmed the news in a statement released on Thursday, assuring the public that members of the football club, including the first-team staff and coaches, will be isolated and tested.
Arsenal FC said in a statement: “The health of our people and the wider public is our priority and that is where our focus is. Our thoughts are with Mikel who is disappointed but in good spirits.
“We are in active dialogue with all the relevant people to manage this situation appropriately, and we look forward to getting back to training and playing as soon as medical advice allows.”
