The aim and objective is to ensure the residents obey government directives by staying safe at home rather than coming out to contact the COVID – 19. Also, the need for people of the community to be enlightened more on the hygienic process, maintaining social distancing, avoid social gatherings and so on.

The STF COVID – 19 COMMITTEE did her best to cover at least 90% of whole Satellite Town in creating awareness and sharing 100ml Hand Sanitizers to those who can’t afford it.

The TEAM had some ugly experiences in some areas visited where members of the community were bullying them, accusing them of eaten money both state and federal gave to them to distributes to the community. Majority of the residents claimed they need food and tired of staying back at home. Some disregarded the awareness that there’s no COVID – 19 in Nigeria.

The TEAM did her best to calm the residents of the community and try to make them understand the Team is only carrying out a Corporate Social Responsibility. In addition to helping prevent COVID – 19 coming into Satellite Town.

Some residents asked imperative questions on the use of Masks, the costs etc. The Team Head Dr Anyogu gave answers to all questions asked in relation to COVID – 19 and added by pleading with residents to obey government directives.

The awareness started at about 10 am and was rounded up at 7 pm. Thanks.
