Governor Sanwo-Olu Names Police Officers Involved In #EndSARS Killings

Governor Sanwo-Olu has named the police officers involved in the #EndSARS killings.
Jameela News reports that Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has broken silence on the killings of #EndSARS protesters in Surulere area of the state.
This online news medium gathered that on Monday, October 12, four police officers at the Area C police station in Surulere, allegedly attacked some #EndSARS protesters.
A 55-year-old man identified as Ikechukwu Iloamuazor was shot dead at the station by a stray bullet in the station.
Governor Sanwo-Olu revealed that the four police officers identified were two Inspectors and two sergeants.
He also said their names are, Inspectors Bagou Micheal and Ekpoudom Etom, Sergeants Akinyemi Benson and Nnamdi Madura.
The Lagos State Governor explained further that these officers have been apprehended and are going through trials.
His words: “Also, to mention that Lagos state is taking the issue of police misconduct very seriously, earlier this week, we all recall the incident that happened at the Area C command in Surulere.
“All the four officers have been identified and are going through an orderly trial.
“All the four erring officers whose name I will also mention have also been apprehended and are going through an orderly trial. They are Inspector Bagou Michael, Inspector Ekpoudom Etop, – Sergent Nnamdi Madura, and Sergent Akinyemi Benson.
“We have also set up a panel to look into all cases of police brutality and fatality and have set up an N200m compensation fund. I will make all announcements shortly. Once again, I apologise to any protester that has faced brutality during any of the protests days.”
