Veteran Nigerian Actress Is Dead

A veteran Nigerian actress is dead.

Jameela News reports that a popular Yoruba actress, Folake Aremu, famously known as Orisabunmi is dead, a family source told newsmen.

The Nigerian film industry, formally known as Nollywood was thrown into mourning after the death of the actress was announced on Wednesday, January 6.

Where the Nigerian actress died

This online news platform gathered that the actress died in her residence in Ibadan, Oyo state.

Orisabunmi who hails from Kwara state died on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at age 60.

President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Baba Latin has also confirmed the death of the actress.

Meanwhile, Jameela News understands that the actress died four months after her ex-husband, Jimoh Aliu a Nollywood actor, popularly called Aworo passed away.

The cause of Orisabunmi’s death has not been ascertained at press time.
