Miyetti Allah association have blocked Food items coming to the south over ‘harassment’.

Jameela News reports that Miyetti Allah Association of Cattle Breeders, Kwara State chapter have blocked food items coming to the South West until the safety of Fulani in the region is guaranteed.

Thr Coordinator of the Kwara state chapter of the association, Aliyu Mohammed, disclosed this to Daily Post after a crucial meeting by the association in Ilorin on Sunday, February 28.

Aliyu Mohammed said that the association has agreed that until the safety of Fulani cattle herders are guaranteed, they would ensure that foods do not pass through the Northcentral state to the Southwest region.

Miyetti Allah defends Fulani herders in the Southwest 

Speaking about the impending killer herdsmen crisis and attacks in the southwest, the coordinator claimed that it is the bad people among the tribe that are perpetrating ills in other regions.

His words: “Just as you have in any society where there are good and bad people.”

He also claimed that the killer herdsmen are not the only criminals in the the country.

“It is not only Fulanis that commit crimes in the country, but it was sad that everything happening now is heaped on Fulani herdsmen,” Mohammed maintained.

He vowed that the association would bring out the bad eggs.

The coordinator continued, “We have concluded at our meeting today that anybody who comes to Kwara State claiming to be Fulani herder under questionable circumstances, will be reported to the security agencies for necessary action.

“Our vigilantes will monitor the bush and the forests where there are no security agencies and report suspected cattle rustlers who disguise as cattle herders to perpetrate crimes.”

Miyetti Allah demands arrest of Sunday Igboho

The coordinator pleaded with the Federal government to arrest Sunday Igboho for evicting the Fulani from Igangan in the Ibarapa Local Government Area of Oyo State, over his alleged involvement in the destruction of their lives and properties.
