Finance Minister is dead.

Jameela News reports that the United Arabs Emirates UAE Finance Minister, Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum has died on Wednesday, March 24.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum who is also the Deputy Ruler of the Dubai Emirate died at the age of 75, according to media reports.

The deceased Deputy Ruler of Dubai who is brother to the leader of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, died after a few months of being ill.

The leader of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum confirmed the death of his brother in a tweet that read, “We belong to God and to Him we shall return … May God have mercy on you, my brother, my support and my companion.”

The Life deceased of UAE Finance Minister

Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum who died on Wednesday, March 24 was the second son of the late ruler Sheikh Rasheed bin Saeed Al Maktoum.

The deceased Minister of Finance was Born on December 25, 1949, in the Trucial States, a part of the Arab Sheikhdoms around the Southern shore of the Persian Gulf that has been part of the British Protectorate since 1820.

He is known to be among the leaders who influenced the Trading and Business sector of the modern city of Dubai Emirates and also led Emirati delegations to the International Monetary Fund and the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries Fund for international development.

Sheikh Hamdan held the position of Finance Minister at the UAE since he was first appointed by late ruler Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan in 1971.

The late ruler was also acknowledged as a controller of a large part of the conglomerates of the Dubai economy, form the Dubai Ports Authority, Dubai World Trade Center to the Dubai Natural Gas Company Limited.

Born to a family that has produced a legacy of horse racing star thoroughbreds, Sheikh Hamdan also placed his mark in horseracing after founding Shadwell Racing in 1981.
