Jameela News reports that In a statement signed and delivered by its chairman Anthony Ejiofor and spokesperson Basil Onwukwe, the World Igbo Congress urged the federal government to handle the IPOB leader following internationally recognized laws.

On the other hand, the WIC says that the Biafran agitator was not apprehended in the United Kingdom and has urged the British government and the world community to look into the circumstances surrounding Kanu’s re-arrest.

“The government of the US, the UN and the international community to take note of the ongoing abuse of human rights in Nigeria including this matter of abduction of Nnamdi Kanu.” His safety must be guaranteed.
