Workers Trapped In 21-storey Building Collapse In Ikoyi

Workers get trapped in a 21-storey building collapse, the building which is still under construction collapsed along Gerald Road in the Ikoyi area of Lagos State.

Jameela News reports that the building was said to be under construction when it suddenly collapsed on construction workers.
Possible causes of the building collapse and the number of persons feared trapped is yet to be ascertained.

21-storey Building Collapse
The spokesperson for Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Mr Nosa Okunbor, confirmed the incident but said that the emergency workers were on their way to the scene at about 3.10 pm.
He said it was a 21-storey building, which collapsed by Musliu Junction at the Ikoyi area of the state.
He, however, assured that LASEMA was on top of the situation.
The spokesperson for National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, also confirmed the incident.
