Panic Over Massive Gas Leakage At Ikeja

A massive gas leakage has occurred around Computer Village, Oba Akran Area of Lagos on Wednesday.
Jameela News reports that Ibrahim Farinloye, the acting coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has confirmed a massive gas leakage around Computer Village, Awolowo Rd, Oba Akran, Medical Road, Anifowoshe, Ikeja, Lagos State.
Farinloye who called in on a live TV program on TVC on Wednesday informed residents of the development, advised them to avoid using anything inflammable. stay safe and avoid the affected area.
Massive Gas Leakage
He said: “I want to assure everyone that all necessary agencies are on the ground to ensure safety at the site.
We want to implore people to stay away from the scene.”
“Residents around Computer Village, Underbridge Awolowo Way and Oba Akran axis, Anifowose Street, Medical Road must not open shops or use open naked fire for safety reasons,” he said.
As gathered from The PUNCH the gas leakage has been brought under control with residents advised going about their daily routine.
However, traffic diversion around the areas is still in force.
